This is gonna be a super-fun (and rowdy) one, folks! Whiskey of the Damned, a five-piece Celtic-influenced rock group, comes all the way from Milwaukee to Stickyz Rock ‘N’ Roll Chicken Shack to headline a show on Thursday, Jan. 12.

The band, founded by Ireland native Eoin McCarthy, is a fast-rising group of talented musicians dedicated to playing high-energy, raucous concerts filled with an unmistakable mixture of American and Irish rock.

Whiskey of the Damned is currently recording its second album to be released tentatively this winter and touring throughout the winter and spring, and the band has landed prime spots in festivals such as Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Manhattan, Illinois’ Irish Fest, and Milwaukee’s Irish Fest to name a few. Described as a mix of The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, and Flogging Molly, this act is one you do not want to miss perform live.

Fronted by Eoin McCarthy and Blaine McQuinn, the show never stops. Eoin has been lucky enough to be in a host of other bands and shared bills with or opened for the likes of The Violent Femmes, The Dropkick Murphys, Buckethead, Van Hunt, Gin Blossoms, Dinosaur Jr., Soul Asylum, and Flyleaf. Blaine also plays with one of the foremost country music acts in the Midwest called “The Cathouse Drifters.”

Blaine, an extremely talented musician, plays bagpipes, violin, guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo, to name a few. And now featuring Micheal Favaro on the accordion, Shawn Hoffman on bass guitar, and Tim McQuinn on drums, The Whiskey of the Damned’s energy is pretty unstoppable.

Whiskey of the Damned’s show at Stickyz begins at 9 pm and is open to ages 18 and up. Admission is $5 at the door.
