LOVELIVEMUSIC.com would like to extend our condolences to the family of Dannie Flesher – a native of Hope, Arkansas, and Co-founder of Chicago’s beloved Wax Trax record store and label – who passed away last week. The Wax Trax influence on modern independent industrial/dance music is undeniable. Wax Trax played an integral role in establishing a genre and sound with such artists as Ministry, Front 242, KMFDM, and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, and Hope’s Dannie Flesher was right there in it.
