In what will surely go down as another in a line of legendary Little Rock concert cancellations (Billy Idol, Don Henley, BoyzIIMen, Prince at Sticky Fingerz, etc) Billy Joel and Elton John have elected to not follow through with their expected Nov 28 gig at Verizon Arena.
I’m sure there are some folks that shelled out $200 that will be disappointed. I’m sure there are even more hoping that a local radio station would step in and offer an extremely discounted ticket (KISS…still not worth $9.41 IMHO).
I’ve seen Elton before (his Red Piano show in Vegas was fantastic, captain), but odds are I’ll never hear him perform my favorite EJ song live (“Madman Across the Water”).
I’m a little more disapoointed about the Billy Joel angle b/c he actually still performs one of my top 10 all time favorite numbers (“Still Rock and Roll to Me”, yes, I admit it).
